Photo: WWDBeirut-based designer Zuhair Murad stopped in Los Angeles last month to fit Jennifer Lopez with six looks for her summer tour, which kicks off June 15 in South America and comes to the U.S. on July 14. The actress first wore Murad to the 2011 Met Gala and donned it at the Academy Awards this year, as well as on several “American Idol” episodes. “She keeps that first dress in the front of her closet,” said Murad.
Lopez’s tour wardrobe includes a feathered skirt and hat, a jumpsuit, a cape, a bodysuit and several short dresses. One look features thousands of red beads hand-sewn onto nude silk tulle in a flame pattern, along with a matching chiffon robe. The designer will show his couture collection in Paris on July 3, when he will also launch an accessories collection.
