British singer-songwriter and actress Rita Ora grace in front of Scott Trindle‘s lens for the December edition of Vogue UK. Style by Maya Zepinie.
In the interview Rita told about her fans, her first meeting fit Jay-Z and her wardrobe.
“All these girls had tatoos of my name on their arm, – said Rita. – Girls with blonde hair and red lips. I couldn’t believe the effect I’d had!”
Rita Ora was scouted by Jay-Z’s Roc Nation at 18. She had sent them some pics and a demo, and they wanted her to fly to New York for a meeting. “I told him [Jay Brown, Roc Nation's co-founder and president] I would need to save up a bit and he started a laughing. He probably thought I was being cute or something,” – told Rita. When she finally meet Jay-Z, “I was in so much shock, the only thing I could do was act smooth.”
“I knew about the high-end clothes, but I never had the money to get them. So, I’d make them. I’d get clothes and cut them up,” – said Rita.
